On Holy Thursday Jesus Shows Us How to Serve

Serving others is the lesson Jesus gives his disciples in John’s Gospel at the Last Supper: “I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do.” (John 13:15)

One of the ways we live our faith is to serve the poor among us. This year, bring your Rice Bowl donations, canned goods for UCHM, rain ponchos or men’s underwear for St. John Center, or any other donations for the poor to our Holy Thursday celebration of the Mass of the Lord’s Supper.

During the Offertory, you will be invited to bring your offering to the foot of the altar and place it in the baskets that will be available. Let us make our almsgiving this year be done with a generous heart and with Jesus’ intention to serve the needs of others.
