Dear parishioners,

We have a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the feast of Pentecost together once again this year.  Fr. Pepper Elliott and your joint SFR/SL Joint Worship Committee members believe that it is particularly important this year for our two parishes to continue our Pentecost Mass tradition because we are facing changes to our parish communities in the near future.  We felt it is vital that we acknowledge from whence we have come, celebrate our successes and move forward into our new horizons.  We firmly believe that we will move forth with the gifts and the grace of the Holy Spirit.  Never have we been without the Spirit’s guidance, and it is a comfort and a truth to know that just as we have been led in the past, we will be guided in the future.

Our time as a joint community has been precious and we wish to recognize the friendships, the growth, the comforts, and the joys we have shared.  So let us join together on Sunday, May 19th at 10:30am under the tent on the lawn at 440 Zorn Avenue, to praise God and receive Him through our participation.  Our prayer is that our joint Pentecost Mass is to be a sign to God of our appreciation for all our gifts received and as a symbol of our unwavering faith.

Pentecost Parishes’ Potluck Luncheon

The Pentecost Potluck Luncheon will be held immediately after the Outdoor Pentecost Mass on Sunday, May 19th in the St. Leonard Cafeteria.  Fried chicken and refreshments will be provided by the parishes at NO Cost for those attending the luncheon!
