Now that its 2022, I thought it might be time for a follow up. So later this winter I’ll be doing a history of Catholicism in Kentucky. What was it like being Catholic on the frontier? How did we go about building churches, a diocese, an archdiocese? As we take part in the worldwide Synod to discern how to be church in the 21st century, it might be worth looking at how those that went before us did it in the 18th and 19th centuries. And if you have other topics you would like to cover feel free to let me know.

I’m hoping we can do this in person, but as with everything during Covid, we’ll go virtual if we need to, so keep your fingers crossed.
